Choosing the Sporades
The Sporades Islands of Skiathos, Skopelos & Alonissos, including the National Marine Park of Alonissos are one of the world’s most beautiful sailing locations. This island chain has calm seas, idyllic isolated beaches only accessible by boat, picture-postcard & windless harbors to anchor, & a wealth of timeless picturesque fishing villages literally out of the pages of a movie (location of Mama Mia).
Our carefully chosen route explores the best these islands have to offer with well-paced stops for swimming, sightseeing, & to enjoy all the main local beauty spots, as well as evenings moored in the main towns to provide you with the best choice of the local bars, restaurants & amenities along the way. The nearby regions of Evia, Pelion, and the smaller inhabited Skiros Island, which also belongs to the Sporades, affords some additional options in terms of itinerary choice.
Flexibility
We suggest a general itinerary involving visits to all the islands, but this is very flexible and will always be adapted to the preferences you indicate, be they more time for the beach, for exploring each new destination, or in finding that perfect restaurant, or deserted beach spot to spend the evening. Prior to departure, we will discuss with you the specific day to day itinerary, but each day your Skipper will also keep you fully informed about the days sailing including any transit times, what you can expect at each destination, and any options you may enjoy, from the best beaches, to recommendations on lots of other aspects from local beauty spots, to where the best fish tavernas are located, so you will be fully informed and can choose the ideal pattern to suit your group.
Our starting prices include all costs
Our prices include the Skipper and all related costs, and are inclusive of the often hidden extras such as fuel, mooring fees, end of port cleaning, insurance, extra bedding etc. so you only have food & drinks as extras. Yacht type is based on our lowest cost, entry-level, fully equipped luxury Yachts. Examples of which are specified in the respective booking category.

Locations
Pagasitikos Gulf
A ‘Natura 2000’ site of outstanding natural beauty embraced by Mount Pelion.
Pelion & the local region is blessed with a network of mountain, forest & seaside stone villages, abundant flora & fauna (including Dolphins). Along its shores lie blue flag beaches unspoiled bays & secluded coves with its entrance to the wider Aegean sea set with the small inhabited Island of Trikery without roads, cars or unnecessary modernity. Taste the local Gastronomy in one of the many seaside villages like ‘spetzofai’ in the delightful villages of ‘Kato Gatzea’ or ‘Afissos’, or crayfish spaghetti in the little fishing village on Trikeri. Our sailing in the Pagasitikos Gulf explores the best of these with an overnight on Trikery Island.
Skiathos
Sailing on our second day heads to the Island of Skiathos & stop at the famous Koukounaries Beach.
Voted as the most unspoiled beach in the Mediterranean sea. After a swim, we continue to the main inhabited area of Skiathos Town, built on the site of an ancient settlement around two hills overlooking a large natural port. For centuries, the main focus of life in the island you can disembark to wander through its narrow streets, enjoy the amphitheatric views, pretty houses, local markets & shops at your leisure. Overnight in the ports main Marina.
Skopelos
Made famous by the movie ‘Mamma Mia’ Skopelos is the Greenest of Greece’s over 250 inhabited Islands
Skopelos is rich in thick Pine Forest set against the contrasts of the deep blue sea & golden sand & a small lush paradise in the heart of Greece. Amongst other sights, we visit the highlights of the ‘Mamma-Mia’ Beach location as well as its capital ‘Skopelos Town’.
Its narrow shady streets tumble down from the Medieval castle on its hilltop through whitewashed houses & churches, bougainvillea-covered streets & gardens, colorful balconies, & fountains until the bay where you will find wonderful local restaurants, charming Cafes & where most of the activity on the island takes place. We overnight here for you to explore the town as you please.
Alonissos
The outermost inhabited island of the Sporades, Alonissos, forms part of the largest marine park in Europe.
The marine park covers a total area of over 64km2 & a coastline of around 67km long. The Marine Park also includes the first Underwater Museum in Greece. Part of the importance of the park is its unique geographical diversity. Opportunities abound also for varied experiences, from fishing, hiking, canoe, kayak, diving, leisure and of course, the anchorage at the best local beauty spots, beaches & including some of its prettiest local villages such as ‘Patitiri’, ‘Votsi’, ‘Roussoum Gialos’ and ‘Steni Vala’. Overnight Alonissos.
Trikery
Our final day is spent with a relaxing voyage to Trikery, an island without cars or roads.
In past centuries Trikery Island was the haunt of pirates with its coves and inlets the perfect places to hide. Our time on Trikery can be spent more securely, simply relaxing & enjoying swimming the secluded beaches, or with an additional activity such as hiking or biking into the interior or sea kayak before the evening sunset beside the pretty port.

Choosing your vessel.
All our Sporades Skippered Sailing Holidays can be carried out with either Catamaran, Sailing Yacht or Motor Yacht. However, each vessel type has slightly different suitabilities. Catamarans are ideal for families. They are very stable and are perfect for the short hops around the Sporades Islands for example which have little or minimal wind. Sailing Yachts are suitable for all, and Motor Yachts, without sail, offer the most speedy travel & are ideal for those who want to spend less of their time ‘hopping’ & more time sightseeing.

Booking Process & Policy
3 Easy Steps
- You may either use the instant booking facility or send us an inquiry. In 7-Days or less we then confirm price & availability of specific Yachts, including any upgrade or newer models you can also select. A deposit of 50% is required to confirm booking. Regards paperwork we need the name. Address, Nationality of the main Charterer. We will send you the charter contract for review.
- Prior to 30 days before arrival you send us the Passport or ID number / Nationality, DOB & Address of all participants – required by law for search & rescue administration. The final payment for the Yacht is required.
- On check-in you will sign the charter contract & pay the security deposit which is fully refundable.
SECURITY DEPOSIT (compulsory) Upon Embarkation paid ONLY by CREDIT CARD. Sailing yachts ≤ 40’ 2.000 Euro, Sailing yachts ≥ 41’ & catamarans 3.000 Euro
ADDITIONAL TOURS & SERVICES. We would also love to hear about any preferences you may have, or the need for any other services you may need such as excursions or transfers so we can include everything in your itinerary.

30 days before charter: 100% of total charter price
30 – 60 days before charter: 50% of total charter price

Skippers. Will they fit with my group?
Foremost, your skippers job is to navigate you through your various destinations with safety as an absolute primary priority.
Secondly, our skippers are all highly qualified professionals who are very experienced with hosting all types of groups with the utmost consideration for the privacy and needs you will have along your voyage.
A key part of their role with you will be in laying out each day’s itinerary in terms of what you can expect, transit times, and any details you would like to know, from recommending the best places to eat, to discussing any & all options for visiting the local beauty spots & moorings at each new location. Your skipper’s aim is to provide you with the best experience possible so you will find him/her to be flexible & helpful throughout.
Chef or Host/ess
Ideal for larger groups of flotillas, adding a Chef or Host/ess will give you much more hands-free time & is also a very economical option when sharing the cost between group members. Daily total costs (not per person) are from 150 Euro for a chef and 130 Euro for a Host/ess.
Groceries. Where can we shop for food?
Each location has a range of Markets / Mini-Markets & shops where you will be able to buy what you need. At most destinations each day it is also possible to order provisions for delivery to the boat, and order takeaway food also. Your skipper will always be happy to coordinate this for you and communicate anything on your behalf whenever necessary.
Accommodation. What is included?
Each Yacht has everything you will need for a week including bedding with changes, and a well-equipped kitchen with a gas stove & oven. Just think of the things you may expect in a hotel room with a catering facility.
What should we pack?
Just think of that beach holiday with a mix of swimming, exploring, relaxing & sightseeing. Light clothes are best with a hat, sunscreen & rubber-soled shoes. Even in the summer months, the evenings can sometimes be cool so a light sweater or weatherproof jacket, & if visiting at other times of the year one or two more layers.
Don’t forget your swimwear, beach towels & flip flops! Not a lot else is necessary.
Snorkel gear is normally included but if you need any over or undersize masks just let us know. Additional gear such as paddleboards may be added on request.
What is the best time of year for Sailing in Greece?
The sailing season in Greece starts around mid-April and ends in late early November. For our Sporades sailing holidays, you can expect almost perfect sunny hot weather throughout, with warm water temperatures often extending into November.
Temperatures & conditions in the Sporades?
The Sporades Islands region are ideal for less experienced sailors as wind & waves do not normally build in this region. Day temperatures between 26-30°C / 79-86°F, and nighttime temperatures between 19-23°C / 66-73°F.
