The local Athens-metro is clean, efficient and will get you around the city easily. Use it to visit Monastiraki square with its market areas & roam the charming streets of the Plaka. A stop at the ‘Acropoli‘ metro station will put you onto the pedestrianized path connecting many of the monuments for a great evening’s walk. Around the corner, you’ll also find the Acropolis & Museum. Don’t neglect the many other museums with the newly renovated & extensive National Archeological Museum & smaller but outstanding Cycladic Art Museum high on our list.
